Your role

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic JavaScript UI designer and developer who is passionate about design and always prepared to tackle new challenges and expose pioneering ways for our partners to improve their businesses and people’s lives.

With your technical expertise you will manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables for interesting, challenging and often ground-breaking projects in some of the most demanding data environments; Life Sciences, Research, Clinical, Geospatial, Media and Entertainment and Defence and Intelligence.

You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance beautiful, creative and user-friendly UIs and UI features.

Working as part of a team of highly skilled developers, your commitment to team collaboration, perfect communication, and a quality product is crucial.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience as a front-end / UI engineer.
  • Demonstrable understanding of modern accessible and semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Demonstrable understanding of browser DOM APIs.
  • Experience writing Vanilla ES6/7 JavaScript SPAs.
  • Proven ability to design and implement UI designs with attention to detail.
  • Extensive experience with CSS, especially in the context of designing and building responsive application UIs.
  • Good understanding of client-side performance tuning, security and optimization (caching, CDNs, request management, cookies, HTTP2, etc.).
  • Ability to use your UI and Full Stack expertise to solve technical issues.
  • Solid understanding of using Git workflows.
  • Proven preference for pragmatism over dogma - you should be able to argue for or against any tech or design decision in a cogent and objective way.
  • Proactively identify new and emerging trends and suggest ways how we can use them.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
  • Native English speaker or very good functional English.

You have experience with

  • Component based frameworks like React, Angular or Vue.
  • npm, Webpack or other build/packing tools.
  • Java.
  • NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of using the major Cloud services - i.e. AWS, Google, Azure.
