Arcitecta is a privately held company based in Melbourne, Australia. Founded in 1998, we specialize in the conception, design and delivery of digital media management infrastructure, multi-user collaboration and other applications. We have an extensive background in film and television post-production, science and technology, education and government sectors.

Jason Lohrey
Managing Director + Chief Architect
Jason Lohrey is the conceiver and designer of Arcitecta's digital media asset management platform, Mediaflux.
Since 1989 Mr. Lohrey has designed, constructed, tested and deployed applications and application infrastructure in a diverse range of environments, including process control automation, digital editing and compositing, e-commerce and digital media management.
Mr. Lohrey has excellent skills in abstraction, encapsulation and object-oriented methods and extensive construction experience in a range of languages and platforms. In addition to Arcitecta, Mr. Lohrey has worked with Comalco Aluminium, Kodak, Discreet Logic, Telstra and SGI and has a BSc. (Computing & Physics) augmented with fine arts from the University of Tasmania.
Gareth Mellor
Product Development Manager
Gareth Mellor has specialized in object-oriented digital media applications since 1991 after 8 years software engineering and IT consulting experience in the UK, Europe and Australia.
Mr. Mellor has extensive customer-facing experience, including requirements gathering and analysis, user interface design and construction, system implementation, acceptance testing, user training and analysis of product usage to feed back into the product development cycle.
In addition to Arcitecta, Mr. Mellor has worked for Logica, Telstra, Kodak, SGI and CSIRO and has a B.Eng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Sheffield University, UK.

Peter Cross
Peter Cross is the media industry manager for Silicon Graphics in Australia and New Zealand, and is responsible for SGI's engagement with the media industry, encompassing post production, broadcast and broadband. Peter has over 20 years Information Technology experience and has a strong background in all facets of technical computing, specialising for the past five years in digital asset and content management, streaming video and the deployment of high performance and high bandwidth infrastructure for the efficient storage and timely delivery of high definition video and 2k and 4k film resolution data. Previously, Peter managed SGI's professional services media practice and project managed several engagements with Cinemedia and the Rumble Group to evaluate and develop asset management and video streaming applications.
Peter has held positions in software development, systems engineering, and account management in Australia and the USA with Prime Computer, Hewlett-Packard and Digital. Peter has worked with government organisations, both state and federal, including defence, as well as leading telecommunications companies such as Telstra. Peter holds a first class honours degree in Information Science from the University of Tasmania.
Trevor West
Trevor West is an independent consultant and certified Project Management Professional (PMP®). As a Principal Consultant and Senior Project Manager with IBM Business Consulting Services, Trevor was engaged in consulting, business development and managing large systems integration projects from 1999 to 2006.
Trevor has over 25 years of IT experience in complex systems integration and custom software development projects, gained in many industries including the public sector, financial services, telecommunications and multimedia. Trevor's clients have included several Australian state government organisations and blue chip corporations such as Telstra, Coles Myer, Kodak and National Australia Bank. He has worked in Europe, Australia and New Zealand as well as managing teams split across geographies including the US.
Trevor has held various consulting, project management and solution architecture roles with PwC Consulting, Telstra, Kodak and Logica. Trevor holds a BSc.(Hons) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK.
